Rofhiwa Books x Saddle Up And Read

Purchase a book for Saddle Up And Read, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Wendell, NC. Founded by Caitlin Gooch to assist schools, libraries, youth groups, and Pre-K classrooms to build literacy skills and increase their number of grade level readers.

Caitlin uses her love for equastrianism to nurture young readers. Saddle Up And Read programs include a Farm Reading Session; a day at the Saddle Up and Read Farm where children have the opportunity to learn about horses - this includes an opportunity to help groom and read to the horses, as well as take riding lessons. "Horses connect people and get kids excited. Why not use that energy to encourage kids to read?" Caitlin states.

Some of the books purchased through Rofhiwa will be gifted to children while others will be kept in the Saddle Up And Read Library which is accessible to children who visit the farm. If you have any questions about Saddle Up and Read, please email info@saddleupandread.org
